relevant to life science research. It represents a wide range of protein target classes and includes GEM of relevance to several disease areas, such as cardiovascular, diabetes/ endocrinology, neuroscience, oncology, respiratory, and immunology. Scientists seeking GEM lines can use the search button on the upper right on this page to search all of Taconic's collections (e.g. GEM Collection, Taconic Transgenic Models
, Taconic Knockout Repository
), providing them access to one of the world's most extensive repositories of genetically engineered mice and rat models.

The GEM Collection
contains mainly conditional (cKO) and constitutive (KO) Knock Out mice, transgenic (Tg) over-expressing lines, conditional (cTTG) and constitutive targeted transgenesis (TTG) lines. The vast majority of the lines are in a C57BL/6 genetic background.
